By using PracticeMode, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

When you create a PracticeMode account, we collect:

1.2 Practice & Usage Logs

The core function of PracticeMode is tracking your musical practice. In connection with this, we collect:

• Practice session dates, times, and durations
• Instruments, pieces, and exercises you log
• Goals, notes, and reflections you enter
• Streak data, progress metrics, and milestones
• In-app feature usage and interaction data (to improve the product)

1.3 Payment Information

If you subscribe to PracticeMode Premium, payment transactions are processed by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe or Apple/Google Pay). We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details on our servers. We retain only:

• Subscription status and plan type
• Transaction identifiers and billing dates
• Billing name and address (as required for invoicing)

1.4 Location Data

PracticeMode may collect approximate location information in limited circumstances, including:

• To comply with regional legal requirements (e.g., tax calculations for subscriptions)
• To surface locally relevant content or features, if you opt in

We do not continuously track your precise GPS location. You may deny location permissions in your device settings without losing core app functionality.

1.5 Device & Technical Data

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the app:

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• Crash reports and error logs
• IP address (used for security and fraud prevention; not linked to your practice data)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Providing and improving the PracticeMode app and its features
• Syncing your practice data across devices
• Sending account-related communications (e.g., receipts, password resets)
• Sending optional product updates or tips (you may unsubscribe at any time)
• Diagnosing and fixing bugs and performance issues
• Preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your practice logs or musical data for advertising purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party vendors (such as cloud hosting, analytics, and payment processors) who access data solely to perform services on our behalf, under strict confidentiality agreements.

Business Transfers: If PracticeMode is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance and give you the opportunity to delete your account.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account:

• Your practice logs and personal data are deleted within 30 days
• Anonymized, aggregate data (not linked to you) may be retained for product analytics
• We may retain billing records for up to 7 years as required by financial regulations

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information in your account
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data

We take reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
• Secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure
